After watching 10 ft waves coming in at Polzeath on friday evening i was hoping for a good sesion on sat with strong winds forcast, but with high being mid-dayish daymer didnt really have any waves when i got there at 10ish. i could see a few on the bar the other side in small waves but with the wind coming down the estuary as opposed to up it, it wasnt helping. Still, lots iof wind though, opted for 5.0m & 86lt board. This was fine for a time but wind increased so took out 76lt board which was good. But the 5.0 soon became a bit much especially in the gusts.still it was nice to be on small kit even if there was only chop about, there was a few waves coming round the point but when riding them it was bit close to the rocks.
at 12ish i went back to the caravan for some dinner as it was high tide, when i returned the wind had dropped a little so went back to 86lt board, had a few jumps off the waves on the rocks & it looked like it was gonna get good as the tide dropped but i had to laeve at 3pm to go pack up & drive home...
